Terms of Service
Terms
These terms govern your access to and use of Shono. By using Shono, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: February 8, 2026
1) The service
Shono is a digital guestbook that lets hosts create events and lets guests submit photos, videos, audio, and messages for those events.
2) Accounts (hosts)
Only hosts create accounts. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs through it.
You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract (or act on behalf of an entity).
3) User content
Guests may submit content (photos, videos, audio, text) for an event (“Content”). Guests and/or hosts retain ownership of their Content.
To operate Shono, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and deliver your Content as part of the service (for example, to show it to the host and authorized guests).
You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit the Content (including image rights and permissions).
4) Prohibited content
You must not submit illegal, hateful, harassing content, or content that infringes others’ rights. Shono does not allow pornographic or gore content. We may remove Content and/or restrict access to the service at our discretion.
5) Payments
Some features are paid. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, purchases are one-time per event.
Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable once the service is provided/activated. Contact us if you have an issue.
6) Availability and changes
We try to keep Shono available, but the service may be interrupted (maintenance, incidents, updates). We may modify or discontinue features.
7) Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shono is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or loss of profits.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant event in the prior 12 months (or €50 if you paid nothing), unless prohibited by law.
8) Privacy
Please see our Privacy Policy.
9) Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris (France), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
10) Contact
